I concurrently learned that, albeit the temptation for added emphasis, Terrific is not spelled with two "f's".

    Hey Friends, Colleagues and Lovers!

I've made a resolution this year, not to charge or debit coffee. All with the hopes of preventing me from drinking so damn much of it.

To wit: There is the most amazing drink, in a cafe in Hollywood, called "Sabor y Cultura". The drink? A Mexican Mocha. This cafe reminds me of a little joint in East Lansing called "Beaners". Ironic? I know what you're thinking; that is why they are now called "Biggby". What is the connection... their symbol is a big "B". Ridiculous, yes, but the coffee is fabulous. Well, the fact that I can drink three 16-oz cups a day and not get sick of it is pretty fabulous, to me. With a potential health hazard, anxiety and ulcers aside, that has got to say something. For the past year, the newly entitled "Biggby" has existed in hopes to go nationwide. I hope they hurry the hell up. If the name has changed, I want to see a Big B in Los Angeles, pronto. One can only take so much Starbucks.

And I say that with true sincerity since I used to work at a Starbucks, back in another life. Indeed, the company is quite brilliant. I respect everything about them except their coffee. Which means this is a moot point so, back to my birthday.

Today is my birthday; let's make it a good one, shall we? Drinks all around. Take your preference and send me the bill. I'll see you in the gym at 7AM, sharp.

    Yours through fit and thin...
    Marlo

  • Canticle: The 2008 Studio Reconstruction
    Saturday, November 1, 2008 - 20:39

I've reconstructed a conceptual video of Part V of the 2006 staged concert piece, Psalm 27: Canticle. The piece, originally created for seven dancers, has been narrowed to a duet for aesthetic purposes. The final project will hold roughly 15-20 dancers. This studio recording serves as a vehicle for a future music video, to be recorded in great detail, in a church within the next five years.

Expect the Reconstruction to be posted this upcoming January 2009.
