Biography

Marlo, you are an Anomaly._Dixie Durr, Ph.D

“I am attracted to Talent and Passion,” says Marlo Dell’Antonio, a Detroit native. “When I accept a project, it's because an idea has seized my mind, so fiercely, that I cannot rest until I see it actualized.”

Marlo Dell’Antonio, a Detroit native, is an Italian-American Performance & Visual Artist. She holds a BA in Theatre and Specialization in Dance from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.

Dedicated to the study of motion and highly skilled in the Art of Choreography, Marlo’s kinetic eye takes precedence over any project. Maintaining a natural ability to dislocate her shoulder blades has given Marlo Movement a raw edge and intensity – allowing her to abstract her body in ways most dancers cannot. She has been choreographing and directing her own works and commissioned projects since January 2003. For the past two years, Marlo has had the opportunity to work as a Model with multiple Photographers, Stylists and Makeup Artists in Metro-Detroit, Los Angeles and New York. She has been living in Los Angeles since June 2008.

In May 2009 Marlo signed with an independent music label (III World’s) and has since been writing songs and choreographing the music videos for her first two singles “The New Black” and “DJ I Wanna Be Your Record”. She will be moving to New York in November 2009 to continue work on her debut album: “WHOISMARLO” to be released in the United States Spring 2010.
